1. Request deletion in the app
- Open Global Research Nexus and sign in.
- Open Profile.
- Open Legal and safety, then select Delete account.
- Review the data effects and type DELETE to confirm.
- Submit the request. The app signs you out after server-side deletion succeeds.
If this route is unavailable in your installed version or you cannot sign in, use the email route below. The Play release must include the in-app route before this page is submitted to Google Play.
2. Request deletion without the app
Email privacy@researchnexus.in from the email address associated with your account.
Include your account email and the statement “Please delete my Global Research Nexus account and associated data.” Do not send passwords, sign-in links, patient data or identity documents unless we specifically request a safe verification step.
We acknowledge email requests within 7 days and aim to complete verified deletion within 30 days. If we cannot verify account ownership, we will explain what additional non-sensitive verification is needed.

4. Temporary retention
Submitted reports and security evidence may be de-identified and retained for no more than 90 days after deletion to investigate abuse, prevent immediate re-offending and document enforcement. These records are not used for advertising or profile reconstruction and are deleted when the period expires.
Protected backups may retain encrypted remnants until their normal rotation expires. They are isolated from ordinary product use and are not used to restore a deleted account.
5. Before deleting
- Save any content you are entitled to keep.
- Resolve active safety or support cases if you need their history.
- Understand that deleting Global Research Nexus does not delete accounts or data held independently by linked institutions, funders, journals or external websites.
