Terms of Use

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. Use an email address you control, keep access to your sign-in links secure and provide accurate profile information. You are responsible for activity under your account and must notify privacy@researchnexus.in if you believe it has been compromised.

2. The service

Global Research Nexus provides research discovery, funding and event information, professional profiles, follows, saved activity and a community feed. Features and data sources may change as the service develops. We may correct, withdraw or archive inaccurate, expired or unsafe content.

Not medical or professional advice

Research summaries, posts, funding information, verification labels and event details are informational. They are not medical diagnosis, patient-specific guidance, legal advice, funding approval or a substitute for checking an authoritative source. Verify deadlines, eligibility, credentials and research claims independently.

3. Community content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Global Research Nexus a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format and display that content solely to operate, secure and improve the service. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it.

Do not upload patient-identifiable information, confidential manuscripts, embargoed results, copyrighted material without permission, fabricated credentials or content prohibited by the Community Guidelines.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not impersonate another person, institution, funder or journal.
• Do not post spam, scams, fraudulent funding calls or deceptive links.
• Do not harass, threaten, exploit or discriminate against others.
• Do not bypass access controls, probe accounts, scrape private data or interfere with service operation.
• Do not use the service to make unlawful automated decisions or distribute dangerous misinformation.

5. Safety and moderation

Users can report posts and users and block profiles. We may review reports, limit reach, remove content, restrict posting, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence where legally permitted and refer serious matters to relevant authorities. We aim to apply these measures proportionately but may act immediately where safety or service integrity requires it.

To appeal a moderation action, contact privacy@researchnexus.in with the subject “Moderation Appeal”.

6. Intellectual property

The Global Research Nexus name, visual identity, software and original service content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. These Terms do not grant permission to copy our branding or reverse engineer the service except where law expressly permits it.

7. Third-party services and links

The service uses Supabase for account and data infrastructure and may link to funders, institutions, journals, event organisers or other third parties. Their content, availability and privacy practices are their responsibility. A link or listing is not an endorsement.

8. Availability and disclaimers

We work to provide a secure and useful service, but it is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, completeness of third-party information, research validity, funding outcomes or that every user-provided statement is accurate.

9. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Global Research Nexus is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on user content, missed third-party deadlines, external links or unauthorised disclosure caused by a user.

10. Ending use

You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion through the Account and Data Deletion page. We may restrict or terminate access for material or repeated violations, legal requirements or security threats. Provisions that logically survive termination, including licences already needed to operate backups and resolve disputes, remain effective only for their necessary period.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. Material changes may require renewed acceptance before posting. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions can be sent to privacy@researchnexus.in.
